Bindi Irwin Posts ‘Like Mama, Like Daughter’ Baby Photos


If this doesn’t make your heart go pitter-patter, than nothing will. On Friday, Bindi Irwin, 22, posted a super-cute photo of her 2 month-old , Grace, wrapped up in a towel on her Instagram page.

The sweet snapshot also showed a throwback image of herself as a , looking just as adorable in a post-bath blankie while being held by her mom, Terri .

“Baby Grace Warrior & Baby Sue,” Irwin captioned, punctuating it with a heart emoji. The Crikey! It’s the Irwins star added, “Like like daughter. We both love our hoodie towels.”

Irwin and her hubby Chandler Powell welcomed baby Grace on March 25, just one-year after their wedding. Two months later the couple posted on their Instagram page, “Two months old and our beautiful Grace Warrior is all smiles! She is the happiest little light in the world [featuring a yellow heart and a qualia bear emoji].

The spotlight on Irwin still stirs the heart-breaking memory of her father, Steve Irwin who was tragically killed during a diving expedition off the coast of Australia in September 2006 at age 44. When announcing her baby’s birth, Irwin told of the meaning behind her daughter’s name.

“Our graceful warrior is the most beautiful light,” said Irwin. “Grace is named after my great-grandmother, and relatives in Chandler’s family dating back to the 1700s.”

She continued, “Her middle names, Warrior Irwin, are a tribute to my dad and his legacy as the most incredible Wildlife Warrior. Her last name is Powell and she already has such a kind soul just like her dad.”

As far as parenting goes, the apple doesn’t seem to fall too far from the tree. In February, Irwin told The Bump, “I want to give our daughter the opportunity to experience as much as possible in the world to set her up for life. The greatest gift my parents ever gave me was their unconditional love and support.”

Irwin went on to gush about her childhood and her wildlife expert parents, “They encouraged me to travel my own path while always being there to lend support if I needed it.” She continued, “I can’t wait to experience the magic of the world all over again through her eyes.”

Finally, Irwin said, “Watching her grow and find her own passions in life will be such a gift. My hope for her through life is that she follows her heart to do what she loves. She’s going to be the most beautiful light in this world. It’s a blessing that I’ll get to support her on the journey that she chooses to take.”

What a sweet family! There is no doubt that Steve would be very proud.
