, who was born Zerail Rivera, was killed on Thursday, July 8. The 21-year-old was reportedly shot while he was sitting in his car on Chadron Ave in Hawthorne, police said in a press release on Saturday, July 10.

According to the press release, Hawthorne officers responded to a call of a shooting around 4:10 p.m. where they found the Rivera “slumped in the front seat of a vehicle parked in the carport to the rear of the building.”

He was reportedly suffering from multiple gunshot wounds with the Los Angeles County Fire Rescue also responding to the scene.

Rivera was reportedly shot in the head three times, according to The Sun, with the Los Angeles County Fire Department saying that he was already dead when they arrived on the scene.

The perpetrator or perpetrators have not been identified yet, the Daily Breeze reported and authorities are reviewing video systems in the area. “It appears to have been a walk-up shooting and he appears to have been targeted,” Hawthorne police Lieutenant Ti Goetz said, per the Daily Breeze.

A shocking video from the Instagram Live went viral which showed Rivera talking to influencer Kapone when shots are heard. The singer asks to “get help” before he slumps in his seat in the distressing video.

Fans took to social media to mourn the rapper.

“That Indian Red Boy video is brutal. One minute you laughing it up, next minute you gasping for breath begging for help,” one user said.
