The 51-year-old reportedly called off the to the literary manager.

According to the insider, the plan was to tie the knot in summer, shortly after the Friends reunion.

Perry and were first linked in 2018 and the 17 Again star popped the question in November.

“I decided to get engaged,” he shared at the time. “Luckily, I happened to be dating the greatest woman on the face of the planet at this time.”

While fans have been concerned about Perry since the Friends reunion, those close to Perry reassured fans that he’s doing fine.

Perry reportedly had an emergency dental procedure ahead of the HBO Max special, which is said to be the reason why he was slurring his speech.

“He was great,” director Ben Winston told The Hollywood Reporter. “People can sometimes just be unkind. I wish they weren’t,” Winston added. “I loved working with him.”

“It was great seeing him again. And what people say is what people say,” executive producer Kevin Bright told THR. “I don’t have [anything] to say about that, except it was great to see him.”

“And I think he’s very funny on the show. But yes, I think he’s OK,” Bright added. “He seems stronger and better since the last time I saw him, and excited about going forward.”

PEOPLE was the first to report that Perry and Hurwitz split.
